My name is Tracee Murphy. I consider myself a self taught artist although I do like to take classes from other local watercolor instructors. I have also learned from the home-based watercolor workshops with Terry Madden as well as attending his live workshops. I'm a member of the Watercolor Society of South Texas and the Art Center of Corpus Christi. Beginning at an early age I have always enjoyed drawing, painting, and being creative. I come from a family of artists and was introduced to watercolors by my mom over 20 years ago; it wasn't until 1998 when I painted my first real watercolor painting. I still have it hanging where I can see it everytime I sit down to paint. I was born and raised in Corpus Christi, TX. Growing up I briefly lived in Winthrop, MA and also in Seguin, TX where I graduated high school. I quickly made my way back to Corpus Christi where I received my medical training and soon after I married my wonderful husband Grady. We have enjoyed thirteen great years of marriage and still reside here in Corpus Christi with our three children. We also have a successfull business in the telecommunications industry called Big Deal Communications and have been in business since 2001. Thank you for visiting my website.
